CAT Selects Exegy for Timestamp Data

The Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) committee has chosen Exegy for timestamp data it needs to reconstruct trades made during the day. Exegy will provide the timestamp data to the CAT, one of the data requirements the system has in order to determine the exact market price for a trade at a particular time. Through its packet-capture service, the company will push timestamps for equities and options trades over to the CAT without the need to build its own timestamping software.

FX data: How disruptive are the disruptors?

FX data providers are surprisingly coy when it comes to discussing the extent to which they have shaken up a market that has been described as ripe for disruption. In April 2018, Exegy launched Trade Port FX, which delivers market data to major FX venues. The firm’s product manager, Karl Dundon, says the CLS service has the potential to open up FX market data channels and improve overall transparency.
